Terms & Conditions of Booking
Last updated: 4 November 2026
- A 25% deposit secures your date.
- The deposit is non-refundable.
- Your booking may be moved to a new date, subject to availability, if you ask before the original event date.
- The balance is due 14 days before the event.
1. Who we are
These terms apply to every booking made with Dave Largie Entertainment ("we", "us", "the Artist"). "You" means the person or organisation making the booking. You can contact us at bookings@davelargie.co.uk or on 07824 515907.
2. Making a booking
- An enquiry, quote or provisional hold does not reserve a date.
- A booking is confirmed only when we have received the 25% deposit and sent you written confirmation by email, setting out the date, venue, show, format (solo or full live band), performance times and total fee.
- By paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
3. Fees and payment
- A deposit of 25% of the total fee is payable to secure your date.
- The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the event date.
- If you book within 14 days of the event, the full fee is due when you book.
- If the balance has not been received by the due date, we will treat the booking as cancelled by you, and clause 5 will apply.
- Payment details will be given in your booking confirmation.
4. The deposit is non-refundable
The deposit secures your date and means we turn away other work for that date. For this reason it is non-refundable, except where we cancel the booking (see clause 7).
5. Cancellation by you
- Please tell us in writing (email is fine) if you need to cancel.
- If you cancel more than 14 days before the event, the deposit is retained and nothing further is payable.
- If you cancel 14 days or less before the event, the full fee is payable.
6. Moving your date
- Instead of cancelling, you may ask to move your booking to a new date. Requests must be made in writing before the original event date.
- Moving a date is subject to our availability, and we cannot guarantee that a particular new date will be available.
- Where we agree a new date, your deposit and any other payments you have made are carried over to it. The new date must be within 12 months of the original date.
- A booking can be moved once. Any further change is treated as a cancellation under clause 5.
- If the fee for the new date is higher (for example, New Year's Eve or a date requiring a different line-up), you will pay the difference.
- If no suitable new date can be agreed, the booking is treated as cancelled by you under clause 5.
7. Cancellation by us
- If we have to cancel because of illness, injury or another serious reason, we will tell you as soon as possible and will either offer a suitable replacement date or refund all payments you have made, including the deposit.
- Our liability is limited to refunding the payments you have made to us.
8. Events beyond anyone's control
Neither party is responsible for failing to perform because of events outside their reasonable control, such as severe weather, travel disruption, venue closure, government restrictions or national emergencies. In these cases we will work with you to move the booking to a new date under clause 6.
9. Venue and performance requirements
- You are responsible for making sure the venue permits live music and has any licences required.
- Please provide a safe, level performance area, access to suitable power sockets near the performance area, and somewhere secure to change and store equipment.
- Please tell us in advance about any sound limiters, noise restrictions, access issues (such as stairs or no lift) or parking restrictions. If these prevent or limit the performance and we were not told in advance, the full fee remains payable.
- Performance times are those agreed in your booking confirmation. Extra time on the night is at our discretion and may be charged.
10. Travel and bookings outside the UK
- Your quote includes travel unless stated otherwise.
- For bookings outside the UK, flights, accommodation, local transfers and any visas or permits are arranged and paid for by you unless agreed otherwise in writing, and are in addition to the performance fee.
11. Safety and conduct
We may stop or shorten a performance if the Artist, band or equipment is put at risk, for example by abusive behaviour or unsafe conditions. In these circumstances the full fee remains payable.
12. Photography and recording
You and your guests are welcome to take photos and short videos for personal use. Professional or commercial filming or broadcast of the performance needs our written agreement in advance.
13. Your legal rights
Because a booking is for a service on a specific date, the 14-day cancellation period that usually applies to contracts made online or by phone does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Nothing in these terms affects your other statutory rights.
14. General
- Any change to these terms must be agreed in writing.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
